Clem Naylor

First Secretary Political at the British Embassy Cairo

Clem is the First Secretary Political at the British Embassy Cairo. Before coming to Cairo, he worked on Israel and Palestine at the Foreign Office in London, as Head of the Middle East Peace Process Team and as an analyst. He has also worked at the UK’s Department for Business, focusing on trade policy and economic development.

He has a BA in French and Arabic and a Master's in Middle Eastern Studies from Oxford University.

Director, British Council Egypt

Jeff Streeter was born in Devon. After a childhood spent in the depths of the countryside, he went on to study English literature and language at the universities of Oxford and East Anglia in the UK before starting an international career with the British Council. All his postings have involved engagement in education, as a teacher, lecturer, project leader or adviser. He is currently Country Director of the British Council in Egypt, based in Cairo.

Mohamed Soliman is Study UK Alumni Awards Egypt 2017 winner of the ’Entrepreneur Category’, CEO & co-founder of Adrenalin -a specialised company in Leisure, Team Building & Experiential Learning-. Adrenalin Paintball Venues are ranked the top in the Middle East. He holds Masters in Business Administration (MBA 2007) from Durham University and Engineering BSc. From Cairo University. He was awarded the Durham Business School Dean’s Scholarship.

Sherwet is a development practitioner with more than 15 years experience in Egypt and the MENA region. She worked in various local and international organisations such as Ashoka Arab World, Centre for Egyptian Women Legal Assistance (CEWLA), the American University in Cairo (AUC), and the Association for the Development and Enhancement of Women (ADEW). Her focus covers a variety of sectors such as gender, community psychology and civil society.
