Professor Abdel-Rahman holds a doctoral degree in physics from University of Utah, USA. Joined the American University in Cairo in 2006 as an assistant professor of physics. He received tenure and promoted to associate professor rank in 2010. He was elected as the chair of the Department of Physics and since 2011 he serves as the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and the Director of Yousef Jameel Science and Technology Research Centre at the School of Sciences and Engineering.
Amr Waked is an Egyptian film, television and stage actor graduated from the American University in Cairo with a degree in political science. He worked full-time as a stock trader and moonlit as an actor before fully committing to his acting career. Amr got his big break in 2001 with ASHAB WALA BUSINESS (Friends Or Business). He got his first lead role in DEIL EL SAMAKA (The Fish's Tail) for which he won the Best Actor Award at the Alexandria International Film Festival.
Dina obtained her bachelor degree from the Faculty of Art Education. Although she was a successful artist and hosted several art exhibitions, she eventually became a journalist and began writing political articles for several newspapers. Dina hosted the morning TV show SABAH DREAM on Dream TV. After that, she presented TV show AL YOUM on El Tahrir Channel and later moved to CBC where she presents TV show ZAYY EL SHAMS.
Hemmat Allam, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, she is now an Executive member of the International Relations Office, NRC. Allam is a member of the International Association of the Study of Pain (IASP), The Egyptian Medical Pain Society and the Egyptian Society of Anaesthesiologists. She is an editor of several scientific publications in national and international journals. She has been awarded the IASP Pain Education Grant for Developing Countries for the year 2013
Dr. Fishere is an Egyptian writer, academic and diplomat. He graduated from Cairo University with a BA in Political Science. Obtained his MA in International Relations from Ottawa University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Montreal University. Since 1995, he has published six novels which are described as a critique of Egypt’s political and social realities. Dr. Fishere has played a significant role as an Egyptian and United Nations (UN) diplomat, and worked as a counsellor to the Egyptian Foreign Minister until 2007. He is currently a Visiting Distinguished Lecturer at the American University in Cairo (AUC), where he teaches political science.
Prof. Inas Abdel Dayem - the head of the Cairo Opera House. She graduated in Cairo Conservatoire, flute department and continued her studies in France, where she obtained a PhD from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. Since then her extensive tours as a flutist cover the US, Europe, Africa and Middle East. Inas has the Creative Prize from the Academy of Arts operating, first prizes from the Federation Nationale des Unions des Conservatoires Municipaux Dramatique in France.
Dr. Karim is a head doctor (Oberarzt) at Clinic for Conservative Dentistry and Periodontology, Christian Albrechts University of Kiel, Germany. He is a lecturer at the Oral Medicine and Periodontology Department- Cairo University. Dr Karim obtained BDS degree in dentistry in 2002, and in 2006 the Diploma for the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2008 he received the MSc degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontology from Cairo University.
Liliane is a broadcast journalist. She started her career in London in 1999, as a reporter for Arabic Satellite TV channels and news agencies. Joined the BBC World Service in 2005 and continued her broadcasting career as a Radio presenter for the (BBC Xtra) radio morning magazine. In 2008 Liliane started her first interactivity live TV shows (Talking Point, Noqtat Hewar), she also hosted talk show (Ma La Youqal).Based in Egypt since 2011, she joined ONTV where she is hosting (Assoura Alkamela).
El Sawy Graduated from the German Evangelical Secondary School in Cairo and he's faculty of fine arts graduate, architecture department , 1979. El Sawy co-founded Alamia Publishing & Advertising Co. since November 1980, a company focusing on supporting sports and culture activities. In 2003 he called for the first private culture centre in the name of Abdel Monem El Sawy. He was awarded the German Order of Merit in June 2009 and the Arab Creativity Award in 2009.
Nadia is a freelance science writer and editor. She has a bachelor's degree in medicine from Cairo University and a master's degree in journalism and mass communication from American University in Cairo (AUC). She was a lecturer of online journalism and science journalism at Al-Ahram Canadian University, and a director of communications with Zewail City of Science and Technology. Nadia is an avid hiker - she summitted Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. She solo-cycled 5600km across Europe.
