Amira Saber Qandil

University of Sussex

Amira is an Egyptian MP and Secretary General of the Foreign Relations Committee. She is VP of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party and a member of Egypt’s Youth Leaders Coordination Committee. She introduced bills on food waste, climate change, and AI governance. Amira represents MENA in the World Bank’s Young Parliamentarians and is a Vital Voices Fellow. She holds an MA from Sussex, an MBA, and a BSc. Founder of Kayan NGO, she champions climate, women’s rights, and youth empowerment.

 

Nermine Mounir

School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London

Nermine is a peace educator, mediator, and gender justice advocate with 18 years of experience in Egypt and MENA. She is co-founder and Director of Misriyati LLC, specializing in peacebuilding training and consultancy. Nermine empowers diverse groups, including refugees, youth, and community leaders, in conflict resolution, and social inclusion. Holding an MSc from SOAS, she’s pursuing another in Nonviolence Education. A Kroc Institute Fellow, she supports emerging peace and gender educators.

Samar Mohammed Al-Mutawakel

University of Leeds

Dr. Samar is a global health leader driving impactful change at the WHO. She has spearheaded emergency response in the Eastern Mediterranean and Africa, forging partnerships and resources to bolster pandemic preparedness. Her leadership has been critical in developing the regional emergency health workforce initiative. A member of International Emergency Action Network, recipient of the King Abdullah Operation Center Award and the Queen Elizabeth International Leaders Fellowship.
