Nick has worked at the British Council, Egypt as a CELTA tutor, teacher mentor and academic manager since 2008. Over the last 25 years he has managed CELTA courses in twelve countries across five continents. He holds an MA in Professional Development in Teacher Education and is currently completing a PhD in Applied Linguistics. He is also the Joint Chief Assessor for the CELTA award for the Middle East and North Africa.
Louise is an experienced teacher and trainer with over 23 years working in the ELT field. She has been a full-time CELTA tutor since 2013, giving courses throughout the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. As well as her interest in teacher development, Louise has enjoyed a diverse career working in the UK state system, large English academies, and UK universities as an EAP lecturer.
Doaa is a very experienced teacher trainer and CELTA/Delta Tutor. She has an MA in Professional Development for Language Education and is currently managing the British Council’s online teacher development portfolio in MENA.
A linguist and translator by education, Victoria has dedicated her professional life to teaching English as a foreign language and ELT methodology. Her 25 years of experience have seen her as a teacher of English, an assistant director of studies, a teacher trainer, and a Cambridge speaking examiner, CEM, and CELT-P/S, TTT and CELTA tutor. Having observed more than 1000 CELTA lessons, she strongly believes in the transformational power of Cambridge CELTA.
Osama Elbeyaly is an experienced CELTA tutor and teacher trainer with extensive experience in a wide variety of contexts. He has been delivering Face-to-Face and online CELTA courses with the British Council Egypt since 2018. As a Senior Teacher, he trained novice and experienced English teachers working for the British Council in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, universities, and international schools.His areas of interests include feedback on teacher performance, genre analysis, and writing studies.
Yomna is an experienced teacher, academic manager, and teacher trainer who has been working with the British Council since 2015. Yomna is a CELTA ACT, DELTA local tutor, and a Trinity TYLEC tutor; she has extensive experience working with teachers on their professional development and designing leading teacher training programs.
Mona Hassanein is a teacher trainer and academic manager who has a rich experience in the field of teaching adults and young learners. Mona has designed and delivered a variety of successful training courses and workshops for teachers working in different contexts in the Middle East region. In addition, she has mentored teachers and teacher trainers on several professional development programmes like the TYLEC, the British Council’s Teacher Support Programme and Teaching for Success.
The head of Academic Management and a CELTA tutor at the British Council in Egypt. She has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and teacher training in different contexts across MENA. Throughout her career, she has been delivering teacher training sessions face2face and online in local and international conferences and events and moderating a range of ELT courses for different teacher associations.
