Hesham joined our English Training Centre in Luxor as a teacher in 2023. Following a series of training programmes and assessments, he was invited to join a project to develop his English teaching skills.
Hesham eagerly embraced this opportunity to grow as a teacher and expand his horizons. It proved to be a rewarding experience, equipping him with invaluable skills and resources to improve his teaching.
‘Being a part of this project has been truly wonderful,’ Hesham says. ‘The availability of a wide range of tools and the genuine excitement of my students have made me feel like I’m in the perfect place for me as an English teacher.’
One of the highlights of Hesham’s time at the centre has been the opportunity to interact with students from diverse backgrounds and with different perspectives. This has allowed him to build his communication skills and better understand how to engage with students of different learning styles.
As a result, Hesham says he has ‘significantly changed’ his approach to teaching.
‘Understanding how my students think has helped me make learning more enjoyable and interesting. I can adapt my teaching style to ensure that each student feels valued and motivated to learn.
‘I now incorporate a variety of materials and tools, making the learning experience much more dynamic and engaging.’
Hesham is keen to keep learning and growing as a teacher. ‘In the future,’ he says, ‘I plan to actively participate in professional development opportunities and stay updated with the latest advancements in English language education.’
With this renewed sense of purpose and a wealth of newfound knowledge, Hesham continues to inspire and empower his students, paving the way for a brighter future in Luxor’s educational landscape.
