Noor El Din El Mahallawi’s experience with the British Council’s Flying Colours initiative in 2006 ignited his passion for education and paved the way for his successful career in educational consultancy across MENA countries.

Noor El Mahwaly's journey into education began in 2006 when he participated in the British Council’s Flying Colours project, designed to engage IGCSE and A-Level students in character-building activities. This initiative opened up new opportunities for Noor, solidifying his desire to work in the education sector and emphasizing the transformative power of quality education in communities.

"Being part of Flying Colours was a pivotal moment for me," Noor recalls. "It helped me understand the impact of education and instilled a passion for supporting students in their academic journeys."

Flying Colours served as a crucial communication platform among students long before social media became prevalent. When Noor saw an announcement seeking students to help run the website and manage activities, he eagerly jumped in. This experience enabled him to work on various international projects, gaining skills in teamwork, project management, and event planning, all while upholding the British Council's values.

His involvement with Flying Colours led to a full-time internship in the British Council's marketing communications unit, as well as part-time roles in different departments, including education and examinations. Over seven years, from 2007 to 2014, these experiences profoundly shaped his view of educational management as a fulfilling career.

Today, Noor runs a prominent educational consultancy, helping students pursue UK school qualifications across Arabic-speaking countries and guiding them toward British university degrees. He remains deeply thankful to the British Council for the opportunities that have significantly influenced his career.
